A pay system designed to create incentives and commitment
Hero Bonus on top of basic pay!
Join us at Valmet Automotive! We offer a wide range of diverse and interesting career opportunities. Valmet Automotive combines the heritage of a leading car manufacturer, the opportunity to participate in creating something new, the values of good working life and a pay system that provides strong incentives for our employees.
STARTING PAY IS DETERMINED BY WORK EXPERIENCE
At Valmet Automotive, we pay everyone a Hero Bonus, which is determined by your work history. We will increase your Hero Bonus as you develop your skills!
New employees are assigned to group 1, 2 or 3, which determines the development of their starting pay and pay tiers during the first six months.
- No work experience
- More than one year of work experience
- More than five years of appropriate professional work experience
TOTAL REMUNERATION CONSISTS OF MORE THAN JUST BASIC PAY
At Valmet Automotive, we pay 8–20% more than laid down in the collective agreement. Pays develop according to the job title and the individual’s competence, both at the start of employment and thereafter.
An employee’s total remuneration also includes shift work bonuses, for example, for evening and night shifts, working time averaging bonuses, performance bonus, other potential bonuses pursuant to the collective agreement, such as overtime compensation, compensation for working on weekday public holidays, emergency work bonuses, compensation related to annual holidays as well as comprehensive and extensive employee benefits.
THE HERO’S PAY TIERS
From the first day, the starting pay is formed of the job-specific part based on the demands of the job pursuant to the collective agreement + Valmet Automotive’s Hero Bonus*.
When you are capable of independent work and you complete a competence confirmation, we will increase your Hero Bonus. This usually happens within 1–2 months.
After four months, your supervisor will evaluate your individual performance (work performance, diligence, job management and being multi-skilled). Receiving feedback is valuable for everyone, but it can also have the effect of increasing your pay.
At the six-month mark, your trial period is finished and it’s again time to increase your Hero Bonus.
After six months, your pay can develop in connection with changes in your tasks and/or your annual evaluation.
* At Valmet Automotive, we pay everyone a Hero Bonus already in the starting salary, which is determined by your work history. We will increase your Hero Bonus as you develop your skills!
EXAMPLES OF THE PAY
Total remuneration is based on the average working hours in the collective agreement. The examples are given for the TAM 35 shift model, which is the most common one at our plant. Also other shift models are in use.
Group 1 = No work experience, no earlier training
Group 2 = Approx. 1–5 years, or more, of work experience
Group 3 = More than five years of work experience and appropriate competence (for example, worked previously at a car plant)
